Pakistan and Sri Lanka have a long history of playing Test cricket against each other. The first Test match between the two teams was played in March 1982 in Karachi, which Pakistan won by 204 runs. Since then, they have played 55 Test matches, with Pakistan winning 19, Sri Lanka winning 16, and 20 matches ending in a draw.
