Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif touched down in Karachi on Monday for a brief but impactful day-long visit, focusing primarily on national security and defense engagements.

Upon arrival, he was received by Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. The PM’s Karachi tour included a special visit to the Pakistan Navy Dockyard, underscoring his government’s recognition of the armed forces’ role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.

Address to Naval Officers and Tribute to “Marka-e-Haq”

While at the dockyard, Shehbaz Sharif addressed officers and sailors, saluting their efforts during the “Marka-e-Haq,” an operation often referenced for its tactical success in maritime defense.

“The officers and sailors of our Navy have time and again shown commitment and courage in defending our sea routes and sovereignty,” said the Prime Minister.

Speaking after a meeting with Turkiye’s Ambassador Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, he asserted Pakistan’s principled stance against all forms of terrorism and called for an impartial investigation into the matter.
