‘Battle for Truth’ Declared as Theme for Pakistan’s Independence Day 2025

The Government of Pakistan has officially announced that Independence Day 2025, celebrated on August 14, will revolve around the central theme of “Marka-e-Haq”, translated as the Battle for Truth.

This year’s theme was confirmed during a planning session chaired by Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, reflecting directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to align the national celebration with messages of unity, courage, and purpose. The meeting brought together top officials from the Ministries of Interior, Information, National Heritage & Culture, and representatives of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Iqbal emphasized that “Marka-e-Haq” signifies more than just a tribute to the past—it is a forward-looking call for collective integrity, national commitment, and truth in both governance and civic values.

“This Independence Day will be a symbol of our nation’s willpower—honoring the struggles that define our history while strengthening our unity to face the challenges ahead,” said Iqbal.

Preparations are now underway to design a country-wide campaign that will include ceremonial parades, special broadcasts, exhibitions, and cultural programs. These events will focus on educating the youth, celebrating unsung heroes, and reinforcing the idea that truth and justice are vital to Pakistan’s continued development.

From cities to remote areas, citizens are expected to participate in this collective celebration of truth, resilience, and the unbreakable Pakistani spirit.
