
Governor Kundi to Administer Oath to Newly-Elected KP Chief Minister Today
PESHAWAR – Preparations are in full swing at the Governor House Peshawar as Governor Faisal Karim Kundi is set to administer the oath of office to the newly elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, today at 4:00 PM.
Governor Kundi, who returned to Peshawar after completing his official visit to Karachi, confirmed that he would personally conduct the swearing-in ceremony in accordance with constitutional duties. Speaking to Dunya News before his departure from Karachi, he emphasized his commitment to performing his role impartially and responsibly.
“I am coming to Peshawar to administer the oath to Sohail Afridi; I had never refused to do so earlier either,” Governor Kundi stated. He added that fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to him by the Constitution remains his utmost priority.
The Governor House administration has finalized all arrangements for the ceremony, which will mark the formal assumption of duties by Sohail Afridi as the province’s new Chief Minister.
