Pakistan to Host ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026

Pakistan has secured a significant milestone on the regional technology map as it prepares to host the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026, one of the most influential digital forums across Asia and Oceania. The announcement was made during the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2025 in Chinese Taipei, marking a major moment for Pakistan’s tech community.

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) welcomed the decision, stating that the hosting rights reflect global confidence in Pakistan’s growing IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) sector. The country’s expanding digital ecosystem, talent pool, and rising export figures have positioned it as an emerging leader in the region.

P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed called the opportunity “a tremendous honour,” adding that Pakistan is fully prepared to present its technological strengths, innovation capacity, and business potential to member economies in 2026.

The summit announcement was complemented by major wins for Pakistan at ASOCIO 2025, where Pakistani companies received seven ASOCIO ICT Awards. A delegation of fifteen firms participated across several categories, showcasing excellence in digital innovation, enterprise solutions, and emerging technologies.

Throughout the summit, Pakistani representatives engaged in extensive discussions with delegations from Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and other member countries. These meetings focused on potential collaborations in talent mobility, joint ventures, outsourcing opportunities, and policy alignment for regional digital growth.

Pakistan’s rising digital capability was highlighted repeatedly, backed by impressive sector statistics. With USD 3.8 billion in IT and ITeS exports recorded in FY25, more than 3,000 registered IT companies, a workforce of over 600,000 professionals, and a rapidly expanding youth-driven talent pipeline, Pakistan presented a strong case as a future digital hub.

Hosting the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2026 is expected to further accelerate global interest, investment opportunities, and international partnerships for Pakistan’s technology sector, reinforcing its ambition to play a leading role in the regional digital economy.
