Pakistan to Launch Unified Business Portal Under Digital Economy Enhancement Program

The Government of Pakistan is set to develop a Pakistan Business Portal as part of its Digital Economy Enhancement Project, aiming to streamline business registration, licensing, and compliance processes through a single digital platform.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Board of Investment, is inviting consulting firms to submit expressions of interest for designing and implementing the portal. Officials highlighted that the platform will act as a national one-window system, integrating federal and provincial services to enable seamless management of business operations.

By consolidating multiple regulatory processes, the portal is expected to reduce bureaucratic hurdles, improve efficiency, and support the growth of the country’s digital economy. Entrepreneurs and businesses will benefit from faster registrations, simplified licensing, and easier compliance with legal requirements.

The government emphasized that this digital transformation effort aligns with broader objectives to enhance transparency, foster economic growth, and encourage investment in Pakistan. The platform will serve as a central hub for all business-related services, making interactions with government agencies more convenient and time-efficient.

Analysts believe that the portal could play a pivotal role in modernizing Pakistan’s business ecosystem, supporting startups and established enterprises alike, and positioning the country as a competitive destination for investment in the digital age.
