The district administration announced on Thursday that tourists are once again permitted to travel to the scenic alpine lake following an improvement in weather conditions and a positive safety assessment by local authorities.

According to Assistant Commissioner Hasrat Khan, the deputy commissioner issued a fresh notification allowing travel to Saif ul Muluk Lake under a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at ensuring the safety of visitors.

The temporary restriction had been introduced as a precautionary measure during heavy monsoon rains, which increased the risk of landslides, flash floods, and hazardous road conditions in the mountainous region. Officials prioritized public safety by suspending recreational activities until conditions became stable.

Hasrat Khan said the decision to reopen the tourist destination was made after weather conditions improved significantly and the local civil administration submitted a favorable report recommending that the restrictions be lifted.
