China Sends Major Relief Package for Pakistan’s Flood Victims
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China has dispatched a significant relief package to support Pakistan’s flood-affected communities, reaffirming the strength of the Pakistan-China friendship in a time of crisis.
According to reports, the emergency aid package consists of 12,000 special tents, 100 diesel generators, 50 water filter pumps, and 300 solar power systems. Medical camps have also been established where patients are receiving free medicines and basic health care services.
This assistance is being seen as a clear example of China’s role as a trusted ally. Supplies are being distributed in some of the hardest-hit areas, ensuring that affected families receive immediate relief. Pakistan’s leadership has lauded the support as a timely response to a humanitarian emergency that displaced millions.
China’s aid demonstrates solidarity that extends beyond politics, highlighting the decades-long cooperation between the two countries. The gesture reflects the deep-rooted nature of the partnership, often referred to as “all-weather friendship,” and underlines Beijing’s commitment to Pakistan’s welfare during natural disasters.
On September 12, 2025, other international partners also extended their support to Pakistan. The US State Department announced fresh humanitarian assistance, with Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie Baker expressing solidarity with affected communities. She stated that the United States was providing food, shelter, and lifesaving supplies, complementing earlier deliveries by the US military.
Similarly, the British government announced three million pounds in emergency aid through High Commissioner Jane Marriott. During her meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad, she emphasized the UK’s readiness to extend additional humanitarian assistance. Pakistan’s government expressed gratitude for the support, recognizing it as another example of strong international cooperation.
With multiple countries stepping forward, Pakistan’s response to the devastating floods has become a global humanitarian effort. The relief operations led by China, the United States, and the United Kingdom underline the importance of international solidarity in times of crisis.
