Scotland Unveils 15-Member Squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2026

Cricket Scotland has officially announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.

The team will be led by experienced top-order batter Richie Berrington, who brings valuable leadership and international experience to Scotland’s campaign. Eleven members of the squad previously represented Scotland in the last T20 World Cup held in the West Indies and the USA in 2024, providing a strong foundation of continuity.

The squad also features fresh talent making their World Cup debuts. Tom Bruce, Finlay McCreath, and Oliver Davidson have been included for the first time, while Afghanistan-born pacer Zainullah Ihsan earned his maiden call-up after recently qualifying to play for Scotland.

Cricket Scotland emphasized that the squad balances experience and youth, with a mix of seasoned campaigners and emerging players to compete against some of the world’s top T20 teams. Analysts believe the inclusion of new talent alongside veterans will give Scotland depth in both batting and bowling departments.

The European side will be aiming to build on its past performances and make a strong impact in a 20-team tournament featuring cricketing heavyweights. With preparations underway, the Scottish team looks set to deliver competitive performances on cricket’s biggest T20 stage.
