Banks to Remain Closed on February 5 for Kashmir Day
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that it, along with all commercial banks, will remain closed on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in observance of Kashmir Day.
In an official circular issued on Tuesday, the SBP stated, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday, February 5, 2026, being a public holiday on Kashmir Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”
This closure applies to all branches of commercial banks across the country. Customers are advised to plan their banking transactions accordingly and use online banking services where possible.
Kashmir Day is observed annually in Pakistan to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and raise awareness about the ongoing situation in the region.
