With the 2026 edition of the Pakistan Super League set to begin in just a few days, all participating franchises have confirmed their captains for the highly anticipated season. The leadership lineup for PSL 11 features a blend of experienced Pakistani players and international stars.

Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will once again be led by fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has guided the franchise to major success in recent seasons. Meanwhile, Islamabad United will continue under the leadership of all-rounder Shadab Khan.

Karachi Kings have appointed Australian veteran David Warner as their captain for PSL 11, bringing international leadership experience to the side. In contrast, Peshawar Zalmi will once again be captained by Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam.

Among the other teams, Quetta Gladiators have named Saud Shakeel as their captain, while Multan Sultans will be led by Australian cricketer Ashton Turner for the upcoming season.

Two newly introduced franchises will also participate in PSL 11. Pindiz will be captained by Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, while Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen have appointed former Pakistan all-rounder Hammad Azam as their skipper.

The tournament will begin on March 26 in Lahore at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium. The opening match will see Lahore Qalandars take on Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in what promises to be an exciting start to the expanded season.

PSL 11 will run for 39 days and feature a total of 44 matches. Each franchise will play 10 matches during the group stage, with the top four teams progressing to the playoffs.

The final of the tournament is scheduled for May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium, with May 4 set aside as a reserve day if required.

Matches will be hosted across six cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Peshawar. Notably, Faisalabad and Peshawar will host Pakistan Super League matches for the first time.

Among the venues, Gaddafi Stadium will stage 15 matches, followed by Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium with 11 fixtures. Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host seven matches, while National Bank Stadium in Karachi will hold six.

Additionally, Multan Cricket Stadium will host four matches, while Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium in Peshawar will stage one match on March 28 when Peshawar Zalmi face Pindiz.

With new teams, fresh leadership, and matches across more cities, PSL 11 is expected to be one of the most exciting seasons in the league’s history.
