CTP Announces Eid-ul-Azha Cattle Market Traffic Plan in Rawalpindi
The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has introduced a comprehensive traffic management plan for Eid-ul-Azha cattle markets across the district to ensure smooth vehicle movement and public convenience during the festive season.
According to a spokesperson for the traffic police, a total of eight cattle markets have been established throughout Rawalpindi district. Among these, two markets are located within the city limits, while the remaining six have been set up in different tehsils to accommodate the increasing number of buyers and traders ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
The special traffic plan has been designed to minimize congestion around busy market areas and maintain uninterrupted traffic flow on major roads connecting the cattle markets. Traffic wardens and additional personnel will be deployed at key points to guide commuters and prevent bottlenecks during peak hours.
Authorities stated that special arrangements have also been made for parking management near the markets to reduce roadside traffic pressure. Drivers visiting cattle markets have been advised to follow designated routes and cooperate with traffic officials to avoid inconvenience.
The City Traffic Police aims to ensure that citizens can visit sacrificial animal markets safely and comfortably while maintaining order on roads during the busy Eid shopping period. Officials have further urged the public to avoid illegal parking and unnecessary road encroachments around market locations.
With Eid-ul-Azha preparations gaining momentum, cattle markets across Rawalpindi are expected to witness heavy crowds in the coming days. The traffic management strategy is expected to help maintain discipline and improve road safety for residents and visitors alike.
CTP Rawalpindi has also encouraged citizens to stay updated through official traffic advisories and use alternative routes where necessary to avoid rush areas near the markets.
