Uzbekistan’s Centrum Air has expanded its operations in Pakistan by launching regular direct flights between Tashkent and Karachi, strengthening air connectivity between the two countries.

The new route is expected to provide additional travel options for passengers while supporting tourism, business, trade and stronger people-to-people connections between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

The inaugural flight from Tashkent landed at Karachi Airport at 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, September 3. The flight was operated using an Airbus A320 carrying passengers from Uzbekistan to Pakistan.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtaev was present at Karachi Airport to receive the first flight, marking the start of the airline’s regular service between the two major cities.

The introduction of the Tashkent-Karachi route adds another link between Pakistan and Central Asia. Direct air services can make travel more convenient by reducing the need for passengers to rely on connecting flights through other countries.

For Pakistani travelers, the new service could provide easier access to Uzbekistan, including its capital Tashkent and other destinations across the country.

The route may also benefit Uzbek visitors traveling to Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city and a major commercial center. Improved connectivity can support business travel and create more opportunities for companies in both markets to develop commercial relationships.
