ANF Seizes 3.27 KG of Ice From Passenger Bound for Dubai

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled an alleged attempt to smuggle 3.27 kilograms of ice and arrested a passenger at Quetta International Airport who was preparing to travel to Dubai.

According to the reported details, the passenger was intercepted during an anti-narcotics operation at the airport. The suspected contraband was recovered before the passenger could board the flight to the United Arab Emirates.

The action was part of a wider series of operations carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Force against drug trafficking and smuggling networks in different parts of the country.

During six separate operations, ANF personnel arrested six suspects and recovered a combined 87.683 kilograms of narcotics, according to the reported information.

The seizures included different types of suspected narcotics recovered during operations conducted at airports and other locations. Authorities have continued to increase checks at major transportation points to prevent the movement of illegal drugs.

In a separate operation near Rawalpindi University, ANF personnel intercepted two suspects who were traveling on a motorcycle.

Officials recovered 4.8 kilograms of hashish from the suspects during the operation. The two individuals were taken into custody for further investigation.

The airport seizure in Quetta highlights the role of screening and enforcement operations in preventing suspected narcotics from being transported on international flights.

Quetta International Airport serves as an important air link for Balochistan, while Dubai remains a major international destination for travelers from Pakistan. Anti-narcotics authorities routinely conduct checks to identify suspected drug trafficking attempts.

The ANF has been carrying out operations at airports, highways and other locations as part of efforts to disrupt the transportation and distribution of narcotics.

The latest operations resulted in multiple arrests and a significant combined seizure of suspected narcotics. Authorities are expected to investigate the cases further to determine the source and intended destination of the recovered substances.

Legal proceedings will follow against the arrested suspects according to the relevant laws. Further details about the investigations may emerge as authorities examine the seized material and the circumstances surrounding the alleged smuggling attempts.

The ANF’s operations form part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to combat drug trafficking and prevent illegal narcotics from being transported within the country or across international borders.
