CDA Plans Digital Parking Systems for Islamabad’s Major Parks
A Modernized Approach to Park Management
The Capital Development Authority (CDA), under the leadership of Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, is set to revolutionize park management in Islamabad by implementing digital parking systems. This forward-thinking approach aims to streamline operations and boost revenue generation for park upkeep.
Revenue for Park Development
Randhawa emphasized the importance of utilizing parking revenue for the development and maintenance of Islamabad’s major parks. This initiative seeks to create a self-sustaining model for park improvement while enhancing visitor facilities.
Capital Hospital Reforms
Significant changes are also planned for the Capital Hospital. The CDA aims to reduce dependency on local medicine procurement, appoint a dedicated Director of Finance, and implement a detailed financial strategy to enhance the hospital’s operations and services.
Enhanced Health Services in the Capital
The Directorate of Health Services is set to see notable improvements. Plans include reopening non-functional medical centers and hiring additional medical officers. A unique initiative to mandate health screenings and vaccinations for workers in barber shops, eateries, and similar establishments as a licensing requirement is also on the table.
Digital Enforcement Measures
The Enforcement Wing will undergo a digital transformation, empowering inspectors to issue fines on-site and introducing an online fine collection system. This reform aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in addressing violations.
Paving the Way for an Advanced Islamabad
These measures reflect the CDA’s commitment to leveraging digital solutions for improving public services and enhancing resource efficiency across the capital city.
