Multan Sultans Crush Lahore Qalandars with Dominant Batting and Bowling Display
Multan Sultans thumped Lahore Qalandars by a massive 60 runs in the 14th match of HBL PSL 9, thanks to a brilliant batting performance from Usman Khan and a historic bowling spell by Usama Mir.
Khan’s 96-run knock and Mir’s six-wicket haul propelled Sultans to their fifth win of the season, while Qalandars suffered their sixth consecutive defeat.
Usman Khan and Reeza Hendricks provided a solid foundation for Sultans’ innings, adding 70 runs for the second wicket. Khan continued his aggressive batting after Hendricks’ dismissal, narrowly missing out on a century.
Usama Mir’s six-wicket haul, the best bowling figures by a spinner in PSL history, restricted Qalandars to a mere 154 runs. He also became the first bowler in the tournament to claim six wickets in an innings.
This comprehensive win strengthens Sultans’ position at the top of the PSL 9 points table, while Qalandars continue to languish at the bottom.
