Pakistani Stars Farhan Saeed and Sabeena Farooq Slam Irresponsible Coverage of Pahalgam Attack

Condemnation of Terror and Sensationalism

Following the devastating terror incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people, Pakistani celebrities have called out the Indian media for its coverage.

Actors Farhan Saeed and Sabeena Farooq voiced their disappointment over what they described as agitating and irresponsible journalism.

Farhan Saeed’s Instagram Statement

Farhan Saeed, known for dramas like Mere Humsafar, expressed his grief over the attack but criticized the Indian media’s tendency to sensationalize tragedies.

He wrote, “Not the first time, and surely not the last, Indian media will say anything for TRPs.”

Saeed pointed out that if conflict arises between India and Pakistan, ordinary citizens will suffer most, while media houses would evade accountability.

Sabeena Farooq Appeals for Compassion

Meanwhile, Sabeena Farooq emphasized the human cost of violence, whether in Palestine or Kashmir.

“Ghar ujre hain, pyaron ke samne pyare qatal ho gaye (Homes are destroyed, loved ones killed before each other),” she wrote.

Farooq urged both Pakistani social media users and Indian outlets to avoid treating such calamities as opportunities for political gain or ratings.

She stressed the need for empathy, sensitivity, and responsible communication during times of human suffering.

Industry-Wide Condemnation

Notably, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, and Mawra Hocane have also condemned the Pahalgam attack and called for peaceful dialogue rather than inflammatory rhetoric.
