Islamabad Residents Can Now Register Births, Marriages and Deaths Online Through Pak ID App
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has introduced a new digital service that allows residents of Islamabad to register births, marriages, deaths and divorces through the Pak ID mobile application, eliminating the need to visit Union Council offices in person.
The initiative has been launched in partnership with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). The service is now available across all Union Councils operating within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
The move is aimed at making essential civic services more accessible, convenient and efficient for residents. By shifting the registration process online, citizens can complete important documentation procedures from their homes, reducing paperwork and saving valuable time.
Officials believe the digital registration system will streamline public service delivery while improving transparency and record management. The integration of the Pak ID application with local government services is expected to enhance the overall user experience and simplify access to vital records.
The new facility covers key life events, including birth registration, marriage registration, death registration and divorce registration. These records are essential for obtaining legal documents, updating family records and completing various administrative requirements.
The collaboration between CDA, NADRA and MCI reflects Pakistan’s broader push toward digital governance and citizen-centric services. Government institutions are increasingly adopting technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency and reduce the burden on public offices.
Residents of Islamabad can now access the service through the Pak ID mobile application and complete the registration process without making repeated visits to Union Council offices. The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of citizens by providing a faster and more convenient alternative to traditional registration methods.
The launch of this online registration facility marks another step forward in modernizing public services in the federal capital, supporting the government’s efforts to promote digital transformation and improve service delivery for citizens.
