The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has introduced a new digital service that allows residents of Islamabad to register births, marriages, deaths and divorces through the Pak ID mobile application, eliminating the need to visit Union Council offices in person.

The initiative has been launched in partnership with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). The service is now available across all Union Councils operating within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

The move is aimed at making essential civic services more accessible, convenient and efficient for residents. By shifting the registration process online, citizens can complete important documentation procedures from their homes, reducing paperwork and saving valuable time.

Officials believe the digital registration system will streamline public service delivery while improving transparency and record management. The integration of the Pak ID application with local government services is expected to enhance the overall user experience and simplify access to vital records.

The new facility covers key life events, including birth registration, marriage registration, death registration and divorce registration. These records are essential for obtaining legal documents, updating family records and completing various administrative requirements.
